Brian Bender

It was a pleasure and a privilege to work with Brian. He was wise, kind and supportive. He always had time for people - including when I was a young fast streamer and he was head of the European Secretariat and later to offer career advice after he had left the civil service. The best Permanent Secretary I worked for and a wonderful person.
